Stacey & Matt's Caversham House Wedding

Since I’ll be exhibiting at Caversham House during the Swan Valley Open Day on Sunday 6th July, you will see lots of gorgeous Caversham related posts on my blog this coming week!

And what a great way to start you off with this beautiful Feb wedding!

Stacey and Matt had THE perfect weather. No kidding. Not too hot, and a beautiful day with fluffy white clouds in a blue sky. I absolutely adored Stacey’s hair and make up! She looked gorgeous and oh so glamorous!

I loved that they chose to have an unplugged ceremony. You will see in all the ceremony photos, that everyone is paying attention, and there’s not one person holding up a camera, phone or iPad and being distracted by technology. I’m finding more and more of my couples are choosing unplugged weddings, and I’m absolutely all for it!

Now for their bridal dance…. PAY ATTENTION! This is a great tip!!!

Usually what happens during the couple’s first dance, is that the couple obviously dance for a little while, something like 30 secs, before the MC or DJ invite the bridal party and parents and guests onto the dancefloor. This doesn’t give us much of an opportunity to get a lot of variety.

When you have a dark reception room with mood lighting and a moving subject, the odds are against us photographers! Sooooo what I loved about Stacey & Matt’s wedding dance, is that they danced just the two of them for their entire song. I absolutely loved it, and as you can see, they have a beautiful set of images from it with lots of varietyand gorgeous expressions. I highly recommend you dance for a whole song if you’re having your photographer stay for the dance photos! They will thank you for it!
